International Certification for Sensitive Data Protection

The U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) manages and staffs the Common Criteria Evaluation and Validation Scheme (CCEVS), a national program for the evaluation of products for conformance to the International Common Criteria for Information Technology Security. Look to select a secure z/OS disk erase solution that has CCEVS certification at a Common Criteria assurance level of EAL2 or higher. The NSA maintains a list of sensitive data protection products that have successfully completed evaluation at http://niap.nist.gov/cc-scheme/vpl/vpl_type.html. Z
