IBM Destination z Enterprise Computing Scholarship Program

The IBM Destination z community is pleased to announce the winners of the second annual Destination z Enterprise Computing Scholarship, run in the fall semester of 2009. To be considered for this scholarship, students must have demonstrated excellence in their enterprise computing coursework, with plans for continued growth on the mainframe platform in their academic and professional careers. The field this year was extremely talented, with more than double the number of applications received over 2008.

The winners of the 2009 scholarship, chosen by a panel of representatives from Velocity Software, Red Hat, IBM, zJournal and Rocket Software, are:

3. Min Jiang, Illinois State University
4. Niranjan Sharma, Illinois State University
5. Wenbo Zhang, Syracuse University

7. Shiyuan Chen, Syracuse University
